Jade Mountain St Lucia

Jade Mountain

St Lucia

Renowned for its breathtaking views Jade Mountain is without doubt one of the world’s most famous romantic hotels.

Designed and owned by architect Nick Troubetzkoy, the hillside resort is a celebration of St Lucia’s natural beauty. Here the fourth wall has been removed so wherever possible guests are treated to scenes of the island’s mighty Pitons, rainforest and seascapes.

Sister resort Anse Chastanet lies below the hotel along a pristine Caribbean beachfront. Guests can use an array of facilities here before retreating back up the hill to the exclusivity of Jade Mountain.

Space is the keyword for the hotel’s ‘Sanctuaries’, where living area, private infinity pool and bedroom sweep together in grand style, drawing perspective to the horizon at every opportunity.

Add to this setting an award-winning chef, sunset cocktail bar, boutique spa and round the clock service, and it’s not hard to see why Jade Mountain, St Lucia is a Caribbean honeymoon and romantic holiday icon.

Stay

Just 24 infinity pool sanctuaries and 5 whirlpool suites give Jade Mountain a boutique feel. Every space has its own view of the Caribbean Sea below and the island’s majestic twin-peak Pitons – even from the bathroom!

As each has high ceilings and no fourth wall, all guests experience the hillside vistas, with the size of the space reflected in four categories: Sun, Moon, Star and Galaxy, alongside the 5 Sky suites which have a bath tub big enough for two, but no private pool.

Eat

Jade Mountain offers guests the choice of dining in a convivial atmosphere at the Jade Mountain Club or the privacy of their Sanctuary to enjoy “any meal any time”.

The Jade Mountain Club is set around an infinity pool, where Chef Allen Susser has developed a menu exclusively for resort guests which showcases the best of the island in ingredients, flavours and atmosphere alongside those all-important Caribbean Sea views. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there is live music during the evening and after dinner guests head to The Celestial Terrace for cocktails and stargazing.

Our take

Does Jade Mountain feel familiar? The rooms here are often hailed as having one of the world’s best hotel views. Which means it often features in the press, like Giles Coren and Monica Galetti’s BBC2 series ‘Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby’.

Sweet toothed guests should make a beeline for the hotel’s very own Chocolate Laboratory where the harvest from the estate’s 2,000 cocoa trees is used to make everything from truffles to body treatments.
