Melia Salinas, Lanzarote

Melia Salinas

Spain
Style & sophistication…

Escape to the sleek surrounds of this grown-up Lanzarote beach hotel. You can ‘fly and flop’ on an all-inclusive board basis. Or choose half board to mix it up with a walk to one of the nearby restaurants.

Melia Salinas is for people over the age of 16 and offers sophistication at every turn. From exquisite bedrooms with their designer furniture to the Mosaico Bar with its live music and fancy cocktails.

For a more exclusive experience, you can upgrade to The Level, which comes with lots of extras. And there are plenty of rooms and suites to pick from depending on the size, view and amenities you want included. Or enjoy more privacy in a villa with its own pool — a unique concept for Lanzarote.

The vast lagoon-style pool, which is heated and filled with seawater, is the perfect spot to lounge around in the sun. Or there’s access to the beaches of Costa Teguise, as well as a wellness area with sauna and whirlpool.

Nearby there’s plenty of options for golf and surfing. Or for a more easygoing option, you can walk into town for a coffee on the waterfront.

Melia Salinas is a superb year-round hotel.

Melia Salinas, Mosaico Bar Terrace

Eat

There’s lots to pick from on the menus of Melia Salinas, which makes it a great option for all-inclusive board.

At Mosaico, there’s all-day dining with a terrace overlooking the pool, a buffet and show-cooking stations. Each evening the menu alternates to provide you with more variety.

The Level a la carte restaurant offers Mediterranean specialties in an elegant space. While Mosaico Bar has entertainment throughout the day and into the evening in an easy-going lounge atmosphere.

And enjoy a cocktail in the sun at the Pool Bar, or watch the sunset at the Beach Bar.

Melia Salinas, Location

Explore

A short 30-minute transfer awaits you from the airport to the hotel.

Melia Salinas' seafront location is 1.3km from Costa Teguise resort centre and a 500m stroll from shops, restaurants and bars.

If you enjoy a round of golf, there are two 18-hole courses nearby – Costa Teguisse and Lanzarote. Or, there's windsurfing for an activity that’s a little more adrenaline-fuelled. The conditions around the island are perfect for windsurfing year round, with options for beginners as well as seasoned pros.

Lanzarote’s landscape is completely unique. Outstanding beaches range from those with fine white sand and calm waters to dark, volcanic sand and choppy seas.

In Timanfaya National Park you can see amazing geology and biological diversity. There’s one of the world’s best cave systems at Jameos del aqua. You can wander the former quarry that is now a Cactus Garden. Or why not take a trip to see the Salt Flats of Janubio?

Why here?

Swimming pools — the lagoon-style pool designed by Cesar Manrique features 1,800m² of heated seawater. Or The Level has its own pool should you want to upgrade.

Beaches — the hotel enjoys access to the beaches of Costa Teguise and had its own beach bar.

Wellness — the wellness area includes a sauna and whirlpool alongside a beauty centre and hairdressers.

Exercise — three tennis courts are lit at night and there is a gymnasium and fitness centre.

Shops — exclusive on-site boutiques and a jewellery store.

Our take

The hotel is designed by award-winning architect Fernando Higueras. We especially love how 300 different plants from around the world have been integrated into the paths and architecture.

We also recommend booking a visit to the Timanfaya National Park while you’re on the island. The landscape and experience will blow your mind. There’s the Mountains of Fire, geothermal demonstrations, and camel rides through the park. A unique vantage point of the volcanic terrain.
