Puente Romano

Spain
Step inside Leading Hotels of the World’s Golden Mile resort... the Puente Romano.

Created to emulate a traditional Spanish village, the rooms, suites and villas are nestled among the outstanding facilities which are so comprehensive, there’s really no need to leave the resort.

A stand out feature is the dining with 15 options on site to pick from. Then there’s the tennis centre which has hosted the likes of Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal. The Six Senses Spa has a focus on natural healing using products from The Organic Pharmacy among others. Or feel the authenticity of the region with a flamenco lesson or paella masterclass.

Should you wish to venture offsite then the whole family can rent a bike and cycle down the promenade to Marbella town, which is 15 minutes in one direction, or Puerto Banus the same in the other. Puente Romano guests can play a complimentary round at the Marbella Club Golf Resort. Or discover the history and architecture on a day trip to beautiful Granada and La Alhambra.

With so much to offer within its bounds, as well being in a prime spot for exploring southern Spain, the Puente Romano is a discerning choice for a luxury short-haul holiday in style.

Puente Romano, Grand Junior Suite

Stay

Choice, choice, choice. You’ll be spoilt for it here.

Inspired by the Med, all of the rooms, suites and villas have views of the gardens or sea and an al fresco spot in which to enjoy them. As standard expect complimentary Wifi, 24-hour room service, an Illy coffee machine, Natura Bisse toiletries and a turndown service.

The decor is fresh and modern with botanical details and natural light floods the rooms.

Ideal for families the two bedroom deluxe suites have two en suite bedrooms, as well as a living area. Or there’s an option that comes with a trendy open-plan kitchen and living space, and a dressing room.

The ultimate VIP experience in terms of private space and amenities can be found at the villas with their own heated pool, solarium, lounge and dining room, kitchen and en suite bedrooms.

Puente Romano, La Plaza

Eat

Again, be wowed by the options for dining as Puente Romano goes all out to impress guests with its choice.

There’s Lena for steak; the oyster bar at Bibo; live performances to accompany the dining at Supperclub; healthy fare at Rachel’s or the ultimate comfort food at Cheat; a modern take on Thai food at the Thai Gallery. And of course there’s Puente Romano’s signature piece de resistance... NOBU. Here Nobu Matsuhisa’s acclaimed restaurant offers the hottest reservations on the Golden Mile, merging classic Japanese cooking with Peruvian flavours accompanied by signature cocktails and DJ tunes.

At the resort’s centre, La Plaza is the place to be for a pre-dinner cocktail or a post-dinner night cap under the stars.

Why here?

Six Senses Spa – natural healing in a tranquil environment, where treatments are tailored to the individual.

Watersports on the beach – from mid April to late September head to the beach for paddleboarding, jet skiing, waterskiing and kayaking.

Three swimming pools – the heated open-air pools are dotted around the resort with sunbeds and poolside service.

It’s go time – experience a guided yoga or Pilates class. Work up a sweat with spinning or a session on the TechnoGym equipment.

Family-friendly - the kids’ club offers age-appropriate programmes, there’s private swimming and tennis lessons, babysitting can be booked and private tutoring is also a service offered, where kids can catch up on learning with tuition from UK-trained teachers.

Top tennis – first opened by Bjorn Borg in 1979, the Tennis Club boasts ten courts and professional coaching.

Our take

The focus on educating younger guests is a lovely quality of the resort and an activity the whole family can get involved in is the weekly beach clean-up put on by the kids’ club.

Many venture to the Puente Romano for its gastronomy and if food is your thing we recommend the Nobu Marbella Masterclass. Led by Nobu’s first female Executive Chef, Eleni Manousou, this private class will show you how to prepare signature dishes like the famous Nobu black cod.
