So the team here at Travel Seen, and some of our influential friends, thought we’d take a closer look at what makes this coastal resort so special...
Service can make or break a holiday, and at Vila Vita Parc there’s no doubt it makes it. The staff have a bursting trophy cabinet to prove their credentials as the team that goes above and beyond to make every guest’s stay extra special. And @the_real_portugal says service it what sets the resort apart: “Vila Vita is my yearly favourite. The amazing beauty of nature combined with the splendour of the ocean and a hotel with impeccable service and a wide variety of facilities.”
The hotel strikes the fine balance between luxury and 5-star amenities, alongside services and facilities for younger guests. There’s a crèche and club for teens, a play park and babysitting. Mornings can be spent by the pool or on the beach, then preparing dinner together in the afternoon at a family cooking course. “We have been able to enjoy ourselves as a family and as a couple with the peace of mind of knowing that our baby was in good hands,” says @sandralusitana. “It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and complete resorts we have been to.”
The choice that is available across the resort extends to the beaches too. Vila Vita Parc has direct access to a white sand beach below its rocky cliff edge; Praia dos Tremoços. Or ten minutes away by complimentary shuttle there’s Armação Beach Club, which aside from the sand and sea has three Vila Vita restaurants too.
Many of the Algarve’s best beaches are close by as well, like Marinha, Falésia and Galé. We recommend a visit to Benagil Beach; which is known for the Benagil Cave, a spectacular natural atrium only accessible by boat.
Given its size, Vila Vita Parc is able to offer a tailored experience to all manner of different guests. Whether you’re there for the Algarve’s famed golf courses and the resort’s own offering; taking the kids and the grandparents for a family holiday in style; or looking to ‘fly and flop’ under the sun with Michelin-star restaurants and one of Europe’s best spas at your finger tips... you’ll find it all at this Algarve resort.
“Vila Vita is a paradise that encapsulates the exquisite splendour of the Algarve,” says @amandale. “Whether you are a sports fanatic or prefer chilled afternoons on a sunny beach, there is something that will interest everyone here.”
With its picture postcard coastline and stunning cliff tops the resort is set in what is surely one of the Algarve’s premier addresses. “Where Vila Vita Parc is located there are some lovely places to explore,” says @by_dsp. “The beach especially is one of the longest and nicest on the Algarve. And you have to visit one of the beach restaurants. They are pretty cool!”
Within the 54 acres of sub-tropical gardens are spectacular accommodation options, with such a wealth to pick from. There’s ocean view rooms perfect for two, or up the romance in one of the two-storey suites with their own rooftop terrace. Spa suites are a real retreat for the senses, the two-bedroom option being ideal for a girly getaway. While families can spread out thanks to the space in the villas with their own pool and kitchens, or smaller groups can opt for a sleek apartment.
There’s always something exciting on the agenda at Vila Vita Parc. Whether it’s a family-friendly dance class, a session on pain prevention and management or a live DJ set, the events team at Vila Vita Parc put on a varied schedule to suit the interests of all their guests. What’s more, events often take place to fit with the seasons; so expect family friendly activities during the school hols, flower tiara making sessions in the spring and cooking classes matched to ingredients that are in season.
The award-winning spa at the resort works in collaboration with chic French skincare brand Sisley Paris and the treatment menu is the stuff of dreams – think restorative facials and energizing body treatments. Alongside traditional therapies the spa offers beauty treatments and nutrition consultation, with a specialist yoga studio too. Here there is everything from aerial yoga sessions to yoga for kids, and all group yoga classes are complimentary for guests.
With its Michelin star restaurants Vila Vita Parc is a real foodies’ hotel. And one of the ways gastronomes can indulge here is via the many classes laid on in food and wine.
Head eight metres under the ground to the wine cellar for a tasting and explanation of the 11,000 bottles. Try your hand at some tricky teppanyaki or head to a local fish market with a resort chef. Master the art of chocolate creations or bake the perfect loaf of freshly made bread. At Vila Vita Parc the schedule of classes and experiences for guests who love their wining and dining are endless.
The resort is doing its bit for sustainable tourism with a number of initiatives. Reducing water usage and waste; encouraging staff and visitors to use their electric vehicles to get around; working with local organisations to protect wildlife; and sourcing as much as possible for the resort’s restaurants from the Vila Vita Parc organic farm.
