Take 3 Healing holidays

The healing power of a holiday can have a transformative effect on personal wellbeing.

A change of pace, a different space and a digital detox has a wondrous influence on mental and physical health. So it’s little wonder so many of us have yearned for a holiday following the additional stresses and strains post-Covid-19.

For Travel Seen hotels, creating extra measures to support and enhance the guest experience comes as standard. So this week we thought we’d look at three which have gone above and beyond to add wellbeing and healthy holiday inclusions.
The Sea’s Healing Powers in the Maldives
LUX* South Ari Atoll Resort & Villas is surrounded by the pristine blue waters of the Indian Ocean. To add some extra wellness wow, guests staying for five nights or more can add The Sea’s Healing Powers experience to their stay.

Created to stimulate all the senses, the resort has curated a list of wellbeing activities and details that all “harness the power of the sea”. These include a 30 minute Marine Salt Body Scrub and 45 minute massage with a Maldivian sand poultice; a guided stand-up paddle boarding session around the lagoon; Tibetan Singing Bowl therapy at sunset on board a traditional Dhoni boat; planting corals in the resort’s reef; creating a plant-based meal with a resort chef; taking part on a healthy beverages workshop with a fitness instructor; and relaxing in a restorative aromatherapy bath with a glass of chilled sparkling wine!
Feeling Good in Turkey
In Turkey, Hillside Beach Club takes guest wellbeing extremely seriously. “Holidays are a chance to take time for oneself, to recharge and rebalance, establishing new wellbeing habits and upholding existing ones. With a beautiful treetop spa, three pristine beaches, morning yoga, hiking, cycling, tennis and watersports galore, Hillside Beach Club ensures wellbeing is firmly at the top of the agenda,” they say.

The spirit of “feeling good” is encouraged from the moment each guest arrives on site, whether it’s with guided mediation, a sunrise yoga class, or simply enjoying the service at the touch of a button from a sun lounger on Silent Beach, an adult-only, phone free zone.

Twice a year the resort even puts on its own Feel Good Week, when there’s additional programmes in fitness, nutrition, yoga and even hiking, as well as extra treatments and dishes on the menus at the spa and restaurants.
Personalised Health Retreat in Antigua
A real escape from it all, the Caribbean island of Antigua will up your chilled level from the moment you step off the plane.

At Carlisle Bay they make the wellness experience bespoke, with guests able to book a personalised health retreat, on which they can work towards achieving their unique health goals while on holiday.

Guests are assigned a holistic health practitioner and yoga instructor, offering a consultation and daily practices in yoga and meditation as well as holistic treatments.

Alongside your retreat, you’ll also benefit from all of the details every guest enjoys to enhance the wellbeing experience, including yoga mats in every room and an outdoor gym. Oh and did we mention the CARA Organic Beauty Spa with its ESPA treatments?
